How are PDO thread jowl lift and jaw tightening performed?

There are many treatment options for the jaw line or jowl lift. Most treatments are performed under local anaesthetic using 3D or 4D barbed cogs to give a measurable lift and skin tightening. A single entry point is made at which fine PDO threads are inserted via a small blunt cannula. The threads follow the contours of the jaw line aided by the cannula and are manipulated using acupuncture like techniques to lift and tighten skin tissues. The cannula is then removed to leave the PDO threads in place, suspending tissues. Over time the skin contracts and tightens. PDO threads facilitate the growth of new type I & III collagen to rejuvenate the skin and improve elasticity.
