What is skin rejuvenation?

Skin rejuvenation is an advanced non surgical procedure for a wide range of skin conditions. The process may be either restorative – to revitalise ageing or sagging skin, or corrective to address problems such as scarring or pigmentation. A variety of procedures may be used depending on the condition requiring treatment. The skin conditions we treat are:

As we age the volume, density and elasticity our skin once had gradually diminishes. Skin rejuvenation is a highly effective way to combat the signs of ageing because it directly replenishes much of the lost volume in the skin.

Skin rejuvenation is an extremely popular treatment and with very good reason too. Unlike other anti ageing treatments which deal mostly with small but specific facial lines and wrinkles such as glabellar (frown) lines, forehead lines or crow’s feet skin rejuvenation treats larger areas such as the back of the hands, neck and decolletage (chest) by replacing volume across the whole area.

Who should have treatment?

Skin rejuvenation treatments are ideal for both men and women of all ages. Neck lines may appear at a surprisingly young age, often by the late twenties, as the neck plays a central role in head movement. The area of the decolletage may also appear visibly creased especially with exposure to sunlight and sunbeds, but also as a natural ageing process. It may be more pronounced in women that sleep on their sides leading to vertical or v-shaped lines. Loss of volume in the back of the hands affects many men and women from around middle age, resulting in the gradual but characteristic appearance of veins.

Skin rejuvenation treatments

The areas of the hands, neck and decolletage are treated with a series of high quality dermal filler injections. The treatments rejuvenate the skin by replacing lost volume across the entire area. A course of 3 treatments over two week intervals is recommended to achieve optimal results.

How will the results look?

In most cases treatments can temporarily restore the hands, neck and decolletage to a more youthful appearance, by replenishing lost volume to the hands and removing lines of the neck and decolletage. The active ingredient hyaluronic acid builds up within the matrix of the skin to leave a smoother, fresher more hydrated look. Results can last for 6-9 months if the full treatment course is taken.
